So I tried again a day later. Had the noodles this time. I stand by my original review. Even during the lunch hour rush, service was quick and efficient. In fact the waiter remembered me from the day before and to her credit, brought my drink without being asked. And you what, you really can't go wrong with a place the locals flock to...

SOOOO FRESH AND SO CLEAN CLEAN! When I first moved to town I saw this place on Yelp, but I couldn't find it while driving around. Now that I've been here for a while I had drove by a few times. Finally after jumping on here for lunch to find a new spot I saw the rating and thought I should give it a shot. All I have to say is I'm sure glad I did. This place just reemphasizes that it's what's inside that counts. The outside look a bit run down, and in a part of town that is a bit off the beaten path. Once I walked in I was blown away by how nice everything was. I walked past the fish tank and the open kitchen in the front that was quite a surprise walking in. As I walked to the back to meet my girlfriend I noticed how nice everything was situated and how friendly all the people were. As I sat down the first thing my girlfriend had to tell me was that they cleaned the entire place from top to bottom every Friday.I looked around and couldn't find a spot anywhere. About as clean a restaurant as I have ever been there. The food: Hot and Sour soup really wasn't Hot and Sour, but more like a mushroom soup. Although it didn't have the correct flavor that I had at other places, it was something all it's own and pretty great. The Miso Soup I didn't really care for. Seemed a bit off, but maybe it was trying it while eating the Hot and Sour. The General Tso's was awesome. That right amount of breading that is still soft and lets you taste the flavor of the sauce. Probably my second favorite General Tso's I've ever had. The fried rice was okay. I guess I'm just used to having it with meat or more egg, but I've had better. It was nice they added some fresh broccoli to the plate. Made me feel a bit healthier. In the end the sauce and freshness just blew me away. Triple Combo was BOMB! I'm glad my girlfriend never finishes her food because I devoured it. The sauce was soooo freaking awesome. Really made it stand out. You could tell all the veggies had been handcut and just prepared. The meats were all top cuts, and cooked to perfection. As much as I loved the General Tso's the Triple Combo took the top spot. We definitely found our new spot in town. Can't wait to go back!

This place was delicious and we received far more than expected. Searched yelp while on the road from New Orleans to Dallas and needed dinner. As others have written, it was fresh and made to order. Ordered the hibachi chicken/beef with veggies. It was a sizable portion with loads of chicken and beef with veggies. (did not love the fried rice it came with would probably go with the steamed). Also would skip the egg rolls but the lo main we had was also quite good. Two drinks, two entrees and an app for $25.00

Clean facilities, and exceptional service. The exterior of this place is unassuming, but the food is great! I sat at the bar, and watched Andy make the rolls. Fish smelled fresh, and rolls were expertly crafted with a lot of care and attention to detail. Lunch special was a tad more expensive than a Big Mac, with two rolls, miso soup, and a salad! Can't be that!

Went there today for lunch and ordered lo mein noodle combo with chicken, beef, etc. because it was cheap around $7.25, when I got my bill it was over $10.00. So I looked again and they overcharged me by a few dollars. I dont know what their deal is, but wont be going back

Love the sushi, but skip the appetizers, or at least think twice. I tried the cheese wontons at my waiter's suggestion, because they are "made fresh in house." Too big, too dense, way too much cream cheese - but maybe that's just me. I was expecting something a little lighter. I also thought I would try the hot and sour soup, but it wasn't good either. Edible, but I have had much better hot and sour in many other places. The sushi continues to be the highlight of my trips to New Iberia, so I will keep coming back!

Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, pleasant atmosphere. Staff was very polite and attentive. Don't let the exterior of the restaurant fool you. It's an old building but the outside does not reflect the inside by any means!

Surprisingly nice spot. The hibachi udon combo is tons of food and the house sauce is UNREAL it is so good. Also the mango crab salad is fabulous and fresh, a perfect combo with the savory miso soup. Omg. So good. Must continue eating now, long after it is safe, but i cannot stop.

We LOVE this restaurant. The hot and sour soup is some of the best I've ever had. Everything we have ordered has been fresh and delicious. The prices are very good, under $10 for most entrees. The serving sizes are large. We often share an entree. Our favorite dishes are the Kung Pao, Sichuan chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, and the Coconut Shrimp. However, we have NEVER had a dish that we did not enjoy. Great food, large portions, great service, and excellent prices...what more can you ask? GO TO PEARL HOUSE!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
